Back then, (1990)</B></I></div> <div> <I><B> piercing was not as visible as it is now, and there was no one </B></I></div> <div> <I><B>around to tell you anything. And the people who were</B></I></div> <div> <I><B> doing piercing's at that time, had no clue. </B></I></div> <div> <I><B>(at least in our area)</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>After several bad piercing's from a piercer who said </B></I></div> <div> <I><B>he knew what he was doing, I said there has to</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>be a better way, a more painless way. And someone</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>needs to take the time to get the piercing right, </B></I></div> <div> <I><B>not crooked or messed up and have to do it over again.</B></I></div> <bR> <div> <I><B><IMG SRC="199809f0.jpg" border=0 width="128" height="159" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></B></I></div> <bR> <div> <I><B>So I studied natural healing methods as well as </B></I></div> <div> <I><B>Gray's Anatomy book and the</B></I></div> <div> <I><B> make-up of certain metals. Also there was no where around </B></I></div> <div> <I><B>to buy jewelry, you would have to wait weeks or even months</B></I></div> <div> <I><B> to get a piece of jewelry. So I started making my own jewelry </B></I></div> <div> <I><B>out of 316L surgical steel and 14k gold. My friends liked it and </B></I></div> <div> <I><B>started wearing it. Soon their friends saw it and liked it and </B></I></div> <div> <I><B>wanted it, and of course then they wanted it put in.</B></I></div> <bR> <div> <I><B>We consider this our art, our piercing's are</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>a reflection on our business. This is all we do.</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>We don't do Tattoo's, we specialize in piercing's, </B></I></div> <div> <I><B> word of mouth has made this business,</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>and people tell their friends, "we are the best".</B></I></div> <div> <IMG SRC="125d43c0.gif" border=0 width="468" height="60" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <div> <I><B>A friend (Dirty Harry, R.I.P.) showed some of my</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>jewelry to Jim Hawk of Hawks Tattoo's Galesburg.</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>And Hawk wanted to sell it in his Tattoo shop, before</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>long I was making several sizes and had to come</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>up with a name to put on the jewelry when we sold it.</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>(because of Hawks constant pressure for a name)</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>After about 6 months or so of selling jewelry out of Hawks,</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>I started doing piercing by appointment out of Hawks Tattoo </B></I></div> <div> <I><B>I had already been doing piercing's out of my home for</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>about a year or so.</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>I would like to thank Hawk for giving me that push</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>To come up with a name and make it a serious business.</B></I></div> <bR> <div> <I><B>We still make a lot of the rings we use today in our stores.</B></I></div> <div> <I><B>Most of the Surgical Steel rings and All of the 14ky, </B></I></div> <div> <I><B>18ky, and 14k white gold rings.
